Intent — not code — is the asset you own and the liability you carry. Verbatim, our intent engine, captures it as architecture, moves it to any stack, re-defines it on change, and verifies it stayed intact.
Abstract. Every line of software encodes intent — a decision, and a reason for it — and that intent is at once your most valuable asset and your largest hidden liability. Captured, owned, and continuously validated, it is IP you can move to any stack and defend to any auditor; left in people's heads, it is risk. We argue the unit worth owning is intent, not code, and describe Verbatim, our intent engine — a host-agnostic layer that captures intent, moves it to any target, re-defines it on change, and verifies it stayed intact. C→Rust is one vertical slice — we report it because it is the hardest public test we could find, under DARPA TRACTOR's methodology.
